[Transparency - Episode 1]

Maybe stick movies should die.

I'm sorry, but I am bias against stick movies. The sound wasn't that bad actually, even though there too many FF songs. And the storytelling was a bit stale, even though it was in a FF7 style which ya dun' see too often. Decent story building, but if it had better graphics, it'd be a contender for the classics.

Original Style isn't everything

I'll admit that some of the animation was very well done! Almost has a rotoscope effect. But the fact that there were very little in the backgrounds made it a bit dificult to tell what was going on. Just a lil' work on the camera shots and you'll make it to 10 in no time.

Sticks? Sigh.....

Overall composition? Not bad, especially because most stick animations plain suck. But the shear fact that the characters were sticks just sent it into the 'unprofessional' pile. The sound was impressive but walls caked with 20 gallons of blood from one shot can get repetitive from animation to animation.

Something you dun' see everyday

Style + Nice art + great concept + Actual humor = Something you don't see in flash cartoons these days! Among countless badly drawn stick cartoons and video game parodies, consider yourself a step above the rest.

So very, very sad.

If this is what passes as good animation/art these days, I'm frightened of what the future has in store.
